In the Hyphen is a multidisciplinary creative practice, founded by Jenika Gonzales, rooted in the space between. One of her services, community, focuses on collaborative projects, partnerships, and interdisciplinary gatherings that bring creatives, brands, and cultural ideas together.
Our partner hosts elevated matcha pop-ups across Cleveland. She uses our syrups to enhance the matcha experience for her customers. This includes ube matcha, pandan matcha, and black sesame matcha.
Jenika and I go way back in 2021. We knew of each through different connections we had in our communities but never had the chance to really connect. This deepen within 2025 where we had the chance to meet through a networking event that our friend, Jing. If it wasn’t for that event, I feel like I wouldn’t have had the chance to really deepen my friendship with Jenika. EVen to the point that I can call her Ate (ahh-teh). She was one o f the many in that networking event that have witnessed my growth for hi raya! and is just a constant cheerleader for my business.
Jenika is heavily involved in diffferent communities within Cleveland and loved exploring and contributing to these communities through her interests and talents. One of the many, is hosting matcha pop-ups. Jenika was exploring with the idea of creating her own project
